Senior Lecturer

About the Position

The University of Texas Permian Basin's College of Arts & Sciences invites applications for a Senior Lecturer position in the Department of Political Science. This is a full-time faculty position that will contribute to the growth and development of the undergraduate political science program.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach a mix of online and face-to-face courses in political science, including American National Politics, State and Local Politics, and other courses as needed.
• Provide academic advising to students and support students in need of academic improvement.
• Engage in service to the university, college, and department, including participating in departmental expansion and other reasonable assignments.

Requirements

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Political Science or a closely related field.
• Significant teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in online course development.
• Experience in teaching online and face-to-face courses.
• Ability to relocate to the Permian Basin area.
