Fast-Paced Recovery Nurse Position

Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center is a Magnet Recognized institution that values teamwork, compassion, and patient-focused care. We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team in the recovery unit.
About the RoleThis position involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working closely with anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and surgeons to ensure seamless care from preop to recovery. As a Registered Nurse in our recovery unit, you will have the opportunity to work with patients of all ages, delivering exceptional care and collaborating with your team to respond to dynamic challenges.
Job Highlights- 20 Pre/Post rooms for general surgeries, GI, cardiac, and pulmonary procedures, as well as discharging patients from same-day surgeries
- 14 PACU bay unit for patients of all ages receiving anesthesia, with patient ratios of 1:1-2
- Self-scheduling with various 8- and 12-hour shifts available, including morning, afternoon, and evening options

RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must be a licensed Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota or meet the requirements of multi-state licensure. A bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred, but not required. Certification in a specialty is also preferred. Membership in a professional organization is encouraged.
