Floor Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Floor Tech to join our team. As a Floor Tech, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of hard surfaces and carpets in offices, resident rooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and other public areas. This includes dusting and wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting.

You will also be responsible for collecting trash, recycling, and soiled linen from units and disposing of them properly. Additional outside work may be assigned, including policing grounds. You will utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions and adhere to safety precautions when mixing and using cleaning solutions.

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of hard surfaces and carpets in offices, resident rooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and other public areas.
• Collect trash, recycling, and soiled linen from units and dispose of them properly.
• Perform additional outside work as assigned, including policing grounds.
• Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions and adhere to safety precautions when mixing and using cleaning solutions.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Respond to the paging system in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Positively represent HCSG by following instructions, being courteous, and cooperative with supervisor, coworkers, and client staff.
• Interact with residents, staff, and facility guests in a positive, pleasant, and tactful manner.

• Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Perform routine, repetitive tasks daily without supervision.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
• Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
• Must live in the service area.
