Eternity Homecare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Homecare Companion to provide personalized care and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes. About the Job

We are looking for a dedicated individual who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of others. As a Homecare Companion, you will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with our clients and their families, while providing essential support with daily living activities, personal care, and household tasks.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities as a Homecare Companion will include:

  • Providing assistance with personal care activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming;
  • Assisting with meal preparation and serving, including grocery shopping and cleaning up after meals;
  • Accompanying clients to medical appointments and providing transportation as needed;
  • Performing light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing client's living space;
  • Providing emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging in conversations, playing games, and participating in hobbies and interests;
  • Reporting any changes or concerns to our clinical team and following their guidance and instructions;
  • Maintaining confidentiality and respecting client's autonomy and independence.
Requirements

To be successful as a Homecare Companion, you will need:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent;
  • At least 2 years of experience in caregiving or a related field;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, lifting, and bending;
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation;
  • Ability to pass a background check and meet all health requirements.
