  • Provide exceptional chair-side clinical support to doctors and hygienists, including charting, patient education, and operatory setup and cleanup.
  • Manage patient flow, redirect efforts to respond to changes, prioritize the next operatory room for doctors, and update doctors on patient status.
  • Welcome and greet patients in the reception area, providing a personal introduction including name and position.
  • Take and process X-rays.
  • Perform patient hand-offs.
  • Enter and update patient treatment plans at the direction of the treating doctor using the company operational system.
  • Verify patient clinical service needs were exceeded and take appropriate action when visits do not meet expectations.
  • Escort patients to check-out.
  • Complete sterilization processes for equipment and operatory.
  • Monitor laboratory cases and ensure they are ready for the next day's schedule.
  • Maintain emergency kits and first aid supplies, emergency medications, and oxygen tank.
  • Follow maintenance schedules for the processor, autoclave, and compressor on a weekly basis.
  • Identify, report, and follow up on any maintenance issues in the office, including dental equipment and handpieces.
  • Maintain and update the MSDS binder.
  • Follow OSHA regulations and MFSD safety requirements, including compliance with HIPAA guidelines, CPR, X-rays, and other required certifications and registrations.
  • Maintain and update annual CE requirements as specified by the state.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by the supervisor.
