The Senior Financial Strategist plays a pivotal role within the CooperSurgical division of CooperCompanies. Reporting directly to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, this position acts as the primary finance partner to the VP of Donor Gametes and the Global Head of Cryo & Digital Services. The individual will be responsible for spearheading business collaboration, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for the Gametes and Cryo & Digital Services sectors. Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a vital business partner to the VP of Donor Gametes, the Global Head of Cryo & Digital Services, and the Fertility leadership team, offering support and guidance on all financial aspects of the organization.
  • Collaborate with Business Unit Team members to identify significant opportunities for enhancing financial performance and achieving profitable growth.
  • Oversee the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasts, monthly reporting, and long-term strategic planning for the Gamete and Cryo/Digital sectors.
  • Analyze planned versus actual financial performance, interpret results and variances, and provide insights to the commercial team.
  • Work alongside business leaders to translate strategic initiatives and operational objectives into a financial framework.
  • Engage with department heads and business leaders to deliver transparency and insights regarding their financial performance.
  • Conduct specialized analyses such as return on investment and pricing analytics to facilitate informed management decisions.
  • Support the strategic business planning process and evaluate new business/investment opportunities through comprehensive business case and ROI analyses.
  • Develop detailed financial models to assess investment priorities and potential alternatives.
  • Provide actionable financial reporting to drive business decisions on a regular and ad-hoc basis.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated business acumen and a strong sense of intellectual curiosity.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence colleagues across the organization effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in client interactions.
  • Proven capability to critically analyze and challenge assumptions while interpreting organizational strategies and priorities in financial terms.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance/FP&A.
  • Bachelor's degree in a financial discipline; MBA and/or CPA preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in creating and presenting analyses to key stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within complex and dynamic teams.
  • Ability to meet demanding timelines and adapt to shifting priorities while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, exceptional analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel, including the ability to create and manage complex financial models.
