Role Summary:

We are in search of vigilant and responsible Campus Unarmed Security Officers. The ideal candidates will exhibit proactivity, keen observation, and a strong commitment to maintaining a secure campus atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular patrols of campus grounds to deter and identify signs of unauthorized access, ensuring the security of entrances and exits.
  • Monitor and manage the entry and exit of students, staff, and visitors to uphold the safety of the premises.
  • Document daily activities and any irregularities, including property damage, theft, unauthorized individuals, or unusual incidents.
  • Engage with visitors, patrons, and employees to maintain order and safeguard property.
  • Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances as necessary.
  • Utilize detection devices to screen individuals and prevent the introduction of prohibited items into restricted areas.
  • Provide transportation or escort services for individuals to designated locations or for personal protection.
  • Enforce rules and regulations, addressing violations and, if required, removing offenders from the premises.
  • Inspect and adjust security systems and equipment to ensure functionality and detect any tampering.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred.
  • Strong observational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain composed and respond effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Valid Texas Security License is required.
  • Capability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
