Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Monitor Technician PRN to join our team at Piedmont Walton Hospital. As a Monitor Technician PRN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and technical support in our telemetry department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide continuous ECG monitoring through assessment of EKG strips and accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias.
  • Identify and troubleshoot monitoring problems, and seek solutions to correct the issue.
  • Maintain inventories, supplies, hardware, and telemetry transmitters in working condition.
  • Report malfunctions promptly as applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience: None required.
  • Licensure/Certification: None required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Knowledge of cardiac rhythms and basic EKG interpretation.
  • Certification as a Certified Cardiac Monitor Telemetry Technician (CCMTT) or Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) is preferred.
