Job Summary:

As a Certified Anesthesia Technologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in supporting the anesthesia care team in providing high-quality patient care. Your expertise in anesthesia equipment, sterile technique, and patient monitoring will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our anesthesia department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the anesthesia provider to develop and implement anesthesia plans of care.
  • Assist with patient preparation, anesthesia setup, and equipment maintenance to ensure a safe and efficient anesthesia experience.
  • Perform routine and emergency procedures, including invasive monitoring, code responses, and patient warming modalities.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in departmental professional development.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Anesthesia Technology with an AS degree or certified by the American Society of Technologists and Technicians (ASATT).
  • IV Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Basic Life Support.
  • Ability to lift 45 lbs of equipment and push/pull up to 500 lbs.
  • Keyboarding skills and proficiency in using computer software applications, including the Health Connect system.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certificate of training for Drager, GE, or other anesthesia delivery systems.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a Cardiac OR and/or Level 1 trauma center.
