Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our educational community. This role is vital in supporting the academic and personal growth of students with diverse learning needs.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications, with a range of $67,000 to $89,898. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, dental and vision coverage, life insurance, wellness benefits, paid time off, commuter benefits, and professional development opportunities. Additionally, our employees are eligible for student loan repayment assistance and a retirement plan with employer matching.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement instructional strategies that meet the diverse needs of all learners.
  • Foster a safe and engaging learning environment that encourages student independence.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers in Integrated Co-Teaching (ICT) classrooms to ensure academic success for every student.
  • Engage with families through regular communication and involvement in school activities.
  • Utilize data to inform instructional practices and enhance student outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • New York State certification in Special Education and General Education is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of successful teaching experience, ideally in an Integrated Co-Teaching setting.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with a commitment to collaborative practices.
  • Experience working with a diverse student population is highly valued.
