KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver expert design and integration assistance to clients, emphasizing the incorporation of Laird Connectivity's Wi-Fi/Bluetooth Combo modules into their product designs.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of Laird Connectivity's offerings, particularly the system-level features and benefits associated with the Yocto/Buildroot Linux Wi-Fi connectivity stack.
  • Diagnose and resolve client issues through various communication channels, particularly those pertaining to Wi-Fi integration and performance.
  • Assume full responsibility for technical support, ensuring prompt responses to inquiries, conducting live debugging sessions, and resolving issues with a focus on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
  • Create client-facing demonstrations, develop technical documentation (such as Application Notes and Integration Guides), and produce FAQs that center on Wi-Fi integration and optimization.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in Yocto Linux on ARM microprocessors, with a deep understanding of Wi-Fi protocols and integration techniques.
  • Strong hardware integration skills, with a high level of comfort navigating wireless module datasheets and application notes.
  • Technical aptitude for creative problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging, particularly in relation to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth integration.
  • A passion for tackling complex challenges and a commitment to delivering effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with a professional demeanor and a positive attitude.
  • Strong organizational and time-management capabilities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Sales, R&D, Engineering, and Product Management.
  • Extensive experience in Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth integration is preferred.
  • Familiarity with wireless module hardware design practices is advantageous.
  • Experience with Buildroot Linux and Android is a plus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical field (such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering) or equivalent experience is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience working with ARM-based microprocessors utilizing Yocto Linux.
