About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Plasma Center Nurse to join our team at BioLife Plasma Services. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors, while also contributing to the collection of high-quality plasma that will become life-changing medicines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Donor Eligibility: Determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, including proper management of informed consent, AIDS education, and confidential self-exclusion.
  • Medical Support: Evaluate donor reactions, follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies, and refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed.
  • Employee Support: Manage employee incidents, determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER, and refer to EHS guidance.
  • Pandemic Coordination: Support investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community as indicated by EHS or Medical Affairs.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
  • Licensure: Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA).
  • Certifications: Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification, and fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy.
  • Experience: Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
