About the Role:
Aerotek seeks an experienced Maintenance Director to lead our production team in Chaska, Minnesota. This is a permanent position offering stability and opportunities for growth.

Job Description:
The Maintenance Director will oversee daily operations, coordinate repairs, labor, and resources, and provide requisitions for repair parts. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to recognize problem situations and take appropriate steps to resolve them.

Responsibilities:
  • Interface with production supervisors, leads, and operators to gather information on issues surrounding production equipment performance.
  • Coordinate repairs, labor, and resources, and provide requisitions for repair parts.
  • Schedule union and non-union labor for routine scheduled and overtime work.
  • Approve vacation and PPT requests.
  • Provide reviews of direct staff.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy workplace for everyone.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

Essential Skills:
This role requires a minimum of 5 years of maintenance management experience, knowledge of basic mechanics, welding, electrical, fabrication, preventative maintenance, plant operations, government environmental and safety regulations, and understanding of food safety and sanitation principles (GMP, SQF).

Salary & Benefits:
This is a competitive salary position, estimated at $90,000 per year, plus benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, health advocacy, employee assistance programs, a 401(k) plan, and employee discounts. Aerotek offers weekly pay and a collaborative work environment.

Work Environment:
The facility is a potato plant where potatoes are brought in straight from farms and produced into mashed potatoes, diced potatoes, and hash browns. The facility can be dirty and wet in certain areas but is generally clean. There are 4 teams of 5 mechanics each working different shifts.
