VAD Coordinator RN Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced VAD Coordinator RN to join our team at RWJBarnabas Health.
About the Role:The VAD Coordinator RN will be responsible for coordinating the care of patients with mechanical circulatory support devices, including VADs. This role will involve working closely with the cardiac recovery room team, perfusionists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate patient care and services, including patient assessment, education, and documentation.
- Assist in the development of clinical practice guidelines and quality assurance/performance improvement activities.
- Provide technical support for staff and patients requiring mechanical cardiac assist.
- Perform direct patient care duties and triage patient phone calls.
- Participate in intra and interdisciplinary programs and committees.
- BSN degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in cardiology with an emphasis on mechanical circulatory support.
- Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement.
- BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
