Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership in Team Dynamics – Formulating strategies to integrate diverse cross-functional teams, including manufacturing engineering, tool engineering/design, and manufacturing operations, to ensure timely and budget-compliant product development and delivery.
  • Aligning and Influencing – Shaping expectations and guiding the execution of objectives for both program and operations teams.
  • Relationship Building – Cultivating strong partnerships with cross-functional teams, often spanning multiple locations.
  • Composure Under Pressure – Maintaining a calm demeanor and managing expectations while requirements evolve.
  • Program Planning Oversight – Establishing and supervising operational plans for site teams to effectively meet program requirements concerning schedule, cost, and performance/quality metrics. This encompasses hardware production, tool design and fabrication, staffing, process innovation, and facility requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Collaborating with program team members and clients to ensure alignment of program needs and site strategies. Developing recovery plans in response to issues and coordinating necessary corrective actions.
  • Special Projects – Engaging in assigned special projects and proposing enhancements to critical processes that could streamline the overall product flow.
  • Travel – Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Security Clearance – Capability to obtain a US Security Clearance.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant operations management experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 4 years of experience. Alternatively, a minimum of 10 years of operations management experience may substitute for formal education.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in analyzing, evaluating, and devising solutions to technical challenges with minimal oversight.
  • Familiarity with project management principles.
  • Strong presentation skills, including the creation and delivery of presentations.
  • Experience in composite manufacturing within the aerospace sector is highly advantageous.
