Echocardiography Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified Echocardiography Instructor to join our team at El Paso Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of the College.
Key Responsibilities- Adhere to approved course syllabi and provide students with the course syllabus that informs them of course requirements by the end of the first week of classes.
- Use teaching methods that are appropriate to reach students of varying educational and experiential backgrounds and learning styles.
- Develop and revise curriculum and instructional materials, and assist in the selection of textbooks and other instructional materials.
- Post and maintain office hours as per institutional guidelines, and serve as academic advisor and provide appropriate leadership and supervision in student activities.
- Participate in all areas of divisional and departmental responsibility, including proposing programs and projects, and exhibiting leadership in their implementation.
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of faculty, laboratory assistants, and other discipline or program staff, and contribute to the governance of the College through active service on committees.
- Associate's Degree in Echocardiography or Cardiac Vascular Technology with five (5) years of clinical experience and a specialty certification in Cardiac Sonography from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- Experience teaching in the discipline, and experience/ability to teach at the community college level.
- Experience/ability to incorporate technology into the classroom.
