We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Bryten Real Estate Partners. As a key member of our property operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties, including performing routine maintenance tasks, responding to service requests, and maintaining a safe and clean environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Maintenance and Repair: Complete all maintenance service requests, including basic repairs such as drywall, painting, and carpentry, as well as HVAC and appliance maintenance.
- Turnkey Operations: Assist with preparing vacant units for rent, performing various repairs, and accurately posting status of work orders.
- Plumbing and Grounds Work: Assist with issues related to plumbing systems, including replacing faucets, toilets, and hot water tanks, and complete grounds work, including picking up trash, sweeping, and pressure washing.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety standards within OSHA specifications and company guidelines, reporting any discrepancies to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
- Education and Experience: Completion of high school/GED or specialized vocational training, with 1+ years of experience in building and facility maintenance preferred.
- Licensing and Certification: Licensing and trade certification in HVAC, Electrical Wiring, or Plumbing is highly desired.
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, read and write in English at an intermediate level, problem solve and troubleshoot equipment, and work harmoniously with other staff, vendors, contractors, and residents.
- Work Schedule: Ability to work overtime and on call, as well as a non-traditional schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
