Correctional Deputy

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Correctional Deputy to join our team at the Tehama County Sheriff's Office. As a Correctional Deputy, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our community by supervising inmates and enforcing facility rules.

• Supervise inmates at County custodial facilities and ensure their safety and well-being.
• Enforce facility rules and regulations, and maintain order and discipline among inmates.
• Conduct periodic security checks of housing areas and perform searches of inmates and their living quarters.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inmate activities and facility operations.
• Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and county departments to ensure effective communication and coordination.

• Equivalent to the completion of twelfth (12th) grade.
• Experience supervising adults or juveniles in a controlled setting.
• Ability to pass an extensive background investigation and obtain necessary certifications.
• Valid California driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle safely.
