Minimum Experience Required: 2 years

Responsibilities of the Reconditioning Service Technician:

• Efficiently perform tasks outlined in the repair order in accordance with dealership standards
• Conduct test drives and utilize diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment to assess vehicle performance
• Inspect vehicles to identify necessary repairs, ensuring they are ready for frontline sales
• Diagnose and repair various automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning
• Communicate directly with the Pre-Owned Manager to keep customers informed about any additional services required, providing estimates for repair timelines
• Execute warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in an automotive dealership setting
• Strong understanding of service drive operations
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Exceptional customer service abilities
• Basic computer skills
• Positive and friendly demeanor with a customer-focused mindset
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented with effective collaboration skills
• Willingness to learn new technologies, repair techniques, and specifications
• Proficient in operating electronic diagnostic equipment
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment drug screening and background checks
