Job Title:Herbicide Sprayer/Operator
This position is responsible for operating application equipment to apply herbicides in the treatment of undesirable vegetation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of vegetation management principles and be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate application equipment to apply herbicides in the treatment of undesirable vegetation.
- Mix herbicide in holding tank and fill injection tubes or assist spray crew foreperson with mixing herbicide and filling tank.
- Service truck and equipment, maintaining them in neat, clean, and specified mechanical order.
- Drive truck to specified areas where trees require treatment.
- Pull wheeled cart (dolly) carrying injection unit into areas of brush to treat trees.
- Operate a small power drill, which weighs less than 10 pounds.
- Drill holes into base of trees, place a probe from the chemical injector tank into the hole, and switch on the injector to treat trees.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Able to operate and service all required tools and equipment.
- Education & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Pre-Screen: Upon offer, employees may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.
- License & Certifications: Driver License Preferred, but not required.
- Travel Requirements: Must have transportation to and from the show-up location. Willing to travel, work, and stay out of state.
