Job Title: Per Diem Nurse - Residential Care

We are seeking a skilled Per Diem Nurse to join our team at Mount Sinai Wellness Center. As a Per Diem Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients in a residential setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Complete admission procedures, including paperwork and orientation of patients.
  • Search patients' belongings upon admission and dispose of any forbidden items.
  • Administer and read tuberculosis skin tests.
  • Document patient information, including nursing assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Provide direct care to patients, including monitoring for signs and symptoms of intoxication and withdrawal.
  • Administer medication as ordered by the Medical Director.
  • Develop treatment plans with patients to address medical issues.
  • Provide emotional support and counseling to patients.
  • Consult with in-house staff and outside professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide referrals for patients' identified needs.
Qualifications:
  • Must hold an unrestricted RN or LPN license in the state of Georgia.
  • Requires current certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens.
  • Prefer 1 year of detox, emergency, or med-surge nursing experience.
  • Prefer working knowledge of medical detoxification for substance abuse.
  • Knowledge of signs and symptoms of substance intoxication and withdrawal, including pharmacological factors.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work with a diverse population.
  • Strong leadership, team building, and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform physical demands of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to physically respond to patients' needs in crisis situations.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of American Society of Addiction Medicine placement criteria and Diagnostic and Statistical Manual.
  • Knowledge of federal drug and alcohol confidentiality law and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
  • Ability to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Salary Range: Generally starting at $32.00 an hour.

The salary of the candidate selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including experience, education, specialty, and training.
