We are seeking a qualified attorney for an exciting Entry Level Immigration Attorney role within a distinguished law firm that offers significant opportunities for professional advancement. This position is ideal for a motivated Associate Attorney eager to gain invaluable experience and enhance their career within a well-established firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Articulate immigration principles and propose strategic solutions.
- Advocate for both non-detained and detained clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
- Oversee a diverse caseload effectively.
- Conduct client intakes at detention facilities.
- Prepare a variety of immigration applications, including those related to removal defense and family-based petitions.
- Review and refine immigration application packets as necessary.
- Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations regarding updates in immigration legislation.
- Engage with prospective clients for strategic immigration consultations and devise necessary action plans.
- Formulate strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court or USCIS testimonies.
- Provide legal assessments to clients to identify potential case advantages.
- Draft and submit legal briefs for various immigration matters.
Compensation: $75,000 - $100,000 USD
Qualifications
- Proven interest in immigration law through law school clinics, volunteer work, or internships.
- Juris Doctorate degree.
- Active bar admission (candidates awaiting admission may also be considered).
- A collaborative team player willing to assist and strategize with colleagues.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to advance legal cases and manage a caseload effectively.
- Familiarity with case management software is advantageous.
