Cynet Health is seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN - Surgical Oncology Specialist to join our team. As a Travel Nurse RN, you will provide high-quality patient care in a hospital setting, working with patients who have health conditions ranging from simple to complex.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to patients with health conditions ranging from simple to complex.
- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients, ensuring their needs are met and their care plans are implemented.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments, making notes of any changes in physician orders for assigned patients.
- Assist physicians in examining patients and performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
- Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, and intervene when necessary.
- Administer prescribed medication competently, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
- Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products, maintaining accurate records.
- Interact with patients and families to share the care plan during hospitalization and at discharge, providing education and support.
- Inform patients and their families of hospital procedures, ensuring they are aware of their care and treatment.
- Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel, ensuring seamless care coordination.
- Delegate tasks to support staff, promoting efficient and effective care delivery.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services, applying nursing techniques and best practices.
- Maintain good working relationships with other staff members, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, ensuring effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors, promoting cultural sensitivity and awareness.
- Basic computer skills, with proficiency in electronic medical records and other healthcare software.
