Job Title: Clinical Pharmacist

Are you a skilled Clinical Pharmacist looking to make a meaningful impact in patient care? We're seeking a dedicated and patient-centered pharmacist to join our dynamic team at Parkland Health Center.

Job Summary

As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of medication use for our patients. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to assess, monitor, and modify medication use according to patient condition and age-specific criteria. Your expertise will be essential in preventing, directing, and resolving medication-related issues.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and manage workflow, including oversight of technicians, interns, and volunteers, to ensure accuracy and compliance with departmental procedures and Federal and State regulations.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and committees, as appropriate, to contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a medication therapy resource, providing drug information, training staff, and supporting transitions of care.
  • Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, considering patient condition, organ function, and concomitant therapies, to promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Recognize opportunities to maximize efficiency and promote safety within the medication use process.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
  • Less than 2 years of experience as a pharmacist.
  • No experience as a supervisor.
  • Medication Therapy Services certification in Missouri.
  • RPh licensure.
Preferred Requirements
  • Doctorate in Pharmacy.
  • 2-5 years of experience as a pharmacist.
