Job Summary:
Protouch Staffing is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in a Labor and Delivery setting. As a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to expectant mothers and their newborns.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized care to patients in labor, including administering medications, monitoring fetal heart rates, and performing vaginal deliveries.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical histories, physical conditions, and emotional states to develop effective care plans.
- Administer medications, including pain management and antibiotics, as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen saturation, and report any abnormalities to physicians.
- Participate in emergency situations, such as postpartum hemorrhage or fetal distress, and respond accordingly.
- Document patient information, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
- Experience in Labor and Delivery or a related field.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position working 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
