Germantown Emergency Center is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. As an LPN, you will contribute to the nursing assessment by collecting data through direct observation, interviews with the client or client's family and significant others, and review of the client's medical record and environment.
You will report to other members of the health care team in a timely, accurate and complete manner on data collected from the client, client's family and / or significant others. You will also document data in the patient record in a timely, accurate and complete manner.
Delegation of tasks to certified nursing assistants within their scope of practice is also a key responsibility. When delegating, you will instruct, direct and regularly evaluate the performance of nursing tasks. Discontinue any delegated task if performance is not done competently.
Qualifications for this role include a High School diploma, completion of an accredited LPN program, 1 year clinical experience, LPN license in Maryland or compact licensure, and Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
The work schedule for this position is full-time, 36 hours per week, with three 12-hour shifts. Every other weekend and holiday rotations are also required.
