About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Therapist to join our team at Caravel Autism Health. As a Senior Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality ABA therapy services to children with autism spectrum disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with baseline and ongoing assessments of new clients, using evidence-based assessment protocols and procedures.
  • Implement programs to address socially significant needs of clients, ensuring that therapy is conducted in a way that promotes motivation, self-advocacy, autonomy, and engagement.
  • Monitor indicators of assent and withdrawal of assent, and work with the BCBA to implement programming to promote communication skills.
  • Train and monitor Board Certified Assistants (BCAs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) in the implementation of programs and behavioral intervention procedures.
  • Collaborate with families to implement programming and provide support to achieve prioritized family goals during Family Treatment Guidance sessions.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and other professionals concerning behavioral and therapeutic programming.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Must obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within 120 days of employment.
  • At least 2,000 hours of training or supervised experience in the use of behaviorally based therapy models for children with autism spectrum disorders.
  • Ability to independently and repeatedly lift, move, and carry objects weighing up to thirty-five (35) pounds.
