Job Summary:

We are seeking an IT Certified Professional to join our team. As an IT Certified Professional, you will be responsible for the most complex testing and analysis of all elements of the network facilities, including power, software, communications devices, lines, modems, and terminals. You will also monitor and control the performance and status of the network resources, provide guidance and direction for less experienced personnel, and understand basic Cisco router/switch commands and program initial network gear setups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the most complex testing and analysis of all elements of the network facilities.
  • Monitors and controls the performance and status of the network resources.
  • Provides guidance and direction for less experienced personnel.
  • Understands basic Cisco router/switch commands and can program initial network gear setups.
  • Must be able to work independently and with other IT teams without supervision.
  • Must be able to travel on short notice when required.
  • Must understand desktop system troubleshooting and imaging techniques.
  • Conducts hardware infrastructure site surveys, planning, and design.
  • Makes recommendations on hardware, cabling, and equipment requirements.
  • Provides installation management to include creating lists of materials, bills of materials, estimating installation project timelines, determining installation team requirements, successfully executing installation projects, and documenting project status.
  • Plans, builds, and installs cable patch panels and cable infrastructures.
  • Installs and terminates all types of standard IT cable and fiber.
  • Provides equipment rack installation and equipment installations within a variety of locations that includes, but is not limited to, data centers, equipment rooms, communications closets, operations centers, and user workspaces.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues with network infrastructure and/or components.
  • Recommends changes and/or technology upgrades to address performance, standardization, and industry best practices.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree with 7 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network troubleshooting and support.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of routers, switches, patch panels, concentrators, associated terminals, and related network hardware and software.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications.
  • Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI.
  • Required Certification(s): DoD M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract. IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalent. Required Computing Environment (CE) certification: CCNA or equivalent.
What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Required Skillset:
    • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network troubleshooting and support.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of routers, switches, patch panels, concentrators, associated terminals, and related network hardware and software.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications.

Additional Information:
  • Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract.
  • Position may require lifting of objects (i.e. IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e. plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activity.
  • Travel may be required to support the mission.
