Alcoeur Gardens at Brick LLC is seeking dedicated individuals for our 19-resident Memory Care Unit. We are located in Ocean County, NJ, and are committed to providing exceptional care for residents with memory impairments, including Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.
Position: Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and Certified Home Health Aides (CHHA)
We are looking for compassionate caregivers to join our team in Toms River & Brick locations. Our facility offers complimentary CMA certification for qualified candidates, and we provide training for those interested in home health aide classes.
Shifts Available:
- Full Time: 3 PM - 11 PM, 11 PM - 7 AM, 7 AM - 3 PM
- Part Time and Per Diem: 7 AM - 3 PM, 3 PM - 11 PM, 11 PM - 7 AM
Weekend availability is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide basic care under the supervision of nursing staff.
- Assist with lifting and transferring residents, with a capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Cooking skills are preferred to assist with meal preparation.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid certification as a home health aide or nursing assistant in accordance with state regulations.
- A genuine desire to work in the healthcare field; training for the 8-hour certification course is available.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language is essential.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide quality care.
- Must be a supportive team member, exemplifying teamwork and collaboration.
- Patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm are crucial, especially when working with the geriatric population with dementia.
