Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in emergency procedures, elective, and scheduled cases
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patients receive the best possible care
  • Serve as a liaison between the surgical team and patients' families
  • Organize supplies needed for patients
  • Audit patients before, during, and after surgery, maintaining a sterile operating room
  • Perform count procedures to protect patients from unintended retained foreign objects and perform interventions necessary to ensure the patient's procedure is performed on the correct site, side, and level
  • Maintain the status of patients genitourinary, gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal, endocrine, respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological systems, and fluid, electrolyte, and acid-base balances at or above baseline levels
  • Administer medications according to physician orders
  • Involve patients or designated support persons in decisions affecting their post-perioperative plan of care and rehabilitation process
Requirements:
  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required
  • Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state where you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification is required
  • Minimum of 1 year previous experience in Perioperative Nursing is required
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Salary Information:

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
