Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Safety Lead to join our team at Perdue Farms. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and the quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Safety and Security Manager in ensuring all operational safety compliance protocols and protections are in place and fully functional.
  • Perform daily audits within operations to ensure all plant safety protocols and procedures are being strictly adhered to.
  • Train new department safety representatives on the daily inspection process and ensure all hazards identified are reported to supervision.
  • Assist in performing various safety training requirements, including new-hire orientation, hazard communication, and PPE.
  • Develop and deliver safety topics for weekly huddle meetings and attend department meetings to ensure safety topics are being covered effectively.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; 3-5 years of operations work experience and familiarity with production equipment.
  • Proficient computer skills using WORD, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience as a plant safety representative or related safety experience preferred.
