Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. As a member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide psychosocial interventions to patients and their families, addressing a range of biopsychosocial issues and developing treatment plans to meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessments of patients and families to identify social, emotional, and physical needs
• Develop and implement treatment plans to address patient and family needs
• Provide individual and group clinical supervision to MSWs and student interns
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to devise and implement patient and family treatment plans
• Engage in case finding for patients and families with potential psychosocial needs
• Provide supportive counseling, grief counseling, crisis intervention, and other therapeutic services to patients and families
• Participate in quality assurance and community improvement initiatives related to social work services

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university
• Two years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience
• Valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to apply theories, principles, and practices of medical social work and social services delivery systems in a hospital or medical center setting
• Ability to gather data needed to assess patient and family needs
• Ability to manage a caseload, recall case details, and maintain confidentiality of information
• Ability to provide written case narratives and reports
• Knowledge of and ability to apply effective assessment, interviewing, and counseling techniques
• Knowledge of and ability to apply social work theories, principles, and techniques
• Knowledge of hospital and medical center resources to access and provide for patient care needs

Pay Range

Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role. Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.

Minimum to Midpoint Range (1.0 FTE): $110,947.20 to $124,404.80
