Key Responsibilities:
The Certified Clinical Assistant plays a vital role in delivering clinical support to designated patients under the guidance of a registered nurse or licensed healthcare provider, while also providing essential clerical support.
- Prepare examination and treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary supplies and instruments are ready.
- Assist in preparing patients for their appointments and examinations as instructed.
- Measure and record patients' vital signs in their medical records.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the proper use and maintenance of specialized medical equipment.
- Conduct EKGs, pulmonary function tests, audiometry, and Titmus tests following successful completion of a performance evaluation checklist.
- Perform urine drug screenings, breath alcohol tests, phlebotomy, and other laboratory tests as required after completing the performance evaluation checklist.
Qualifications:
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- CMA-NHA (National Healthcareer Association)
- CMA-NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing)
- CMA-AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants)
- RMA-AMT (American Medical Technologists)
- RMA-NAHP (National Association for Health Professionals)
- AMCA (American Medical Certification Association)
- NCMA (National Certification Medical Association)
Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Note that lack of required certifications or expired credentials may lead to disqualification.
