About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Quality Engineer to join our team at DuPont Semiconductor Technologies. As a key member of our Chemical Mechanical Planarization Technology organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and improvement of our pad product lines manufactured in Newark.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the technical product manager for the assigned product portfolio, working closely with business managers to drive effective product portfolio management.
  • Assess non-conforming products and work with various teams to decide fit for use.
  • Analyze process and production data to identify product consistency improvement opportunities and drive prioritization with manufacturing.
  • Be the steward for change management for the assigned product portfolio, working with change owners to assess impact and drive risk mitigation.
  • Communicate effectively with customer-facing teams through technical whitepapers and work with the PCS program manager to drive SPC culture at the site.
  • Enable new product introductions with high technical quality by partnering with product development on the stage gate methodology.
  • Train field service engineers and other sales staff on product knowledge as required.
  • Understand customer requirements and drive improvements in the assigned product portfolio, working with field teams, applications, and technical service organizations to identify and benchmark customer requirements.
  • Drive roadmaps to meet or exceed customer requirements and partner with the leader in the development of engineers in the organization.
  • Share best practices actively with other team members and coach/mentor them.
  • Work with the PQE organization at other sites to ensure global alignment and act as steward for DuPont's product information in all external communications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a similar field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing or support functions.
  • Hands-on experience with statistical process control methods and design of experiments (6 Sigma Green belt).
  • Ability to make good engineering judgments independently and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience/knowledge with the semiconductor industry.
  • Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a similar field.
  • Experience in external communication, ensuring alignment on common goals and understandings.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and communicate across cultures and language barriers.
  • Hands-on experience with advanced analytical characterization techniques and demonstrated communication skills toward external senior stakeholders and high-level leaders.
