Join Our Team as a Tax Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Director to join our team at Forvis Mazars. As a Tax Director, you will play a key role in providing tax compliance and advisory services to individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and corporations in various industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Manage and develop client relationships, identifying new business opportunities and growing existing ones.
  • Supervise and coach professional tax staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work.
  • Review and approve tax returns prepared by tax associates and seniors, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively, monitoring the efforts of engagement teams and ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Conduct research on complex tax issues, applying findings to projects and communicating results clearly and effectively.
  • Build and maintain relationships with client personnel at top levels, identifying opportunities to sell additional services.
Requirements:
  • 9+ years of experience in public accounting or corporate tax department.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Taxation or Law degree.
  • Partnership tax experience.
