A reputable Specialty Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to manage daily operations with an emphasis on patient care. This role is designed for a professional who prefers to focus on clinical responsibilities rather than extensive managerial duties.
Key Details:
- Role: Pharmacist in Specialty Pharmacy
- Location: Glens Falls, NY
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
- Average Daily Volume: Approximately 25 prescriptions
- Order Entry System: Pioneer Rx (training provided)
- Team Composition: 1 PRN pharmacist, 1 pharmacy technician, and 1 pharmacy liaison
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee the dispensing and distribution of outpatient specialty medications.
- Address clinical inquiries and conduct assessments for patients.
- Supervise pharmacy technician and pharmacy liaison to ensure operational accuracy.
- Provide clinical guidance and support to patients as necessary.
Support Structure:
- The pharmacy technician will manage order entry, fulfillment, and preparation for shipment, while the pharmacist will supervise these processes and be available for patient consultations.
Qualifications:
- Active New York Pharmacist License is mandatory.
- Availability for training is preferred.
Additional Information:
- No weekend or on-call duties required.
- Travel expenses may be reimbursed for non-local candidates.
- Dress Code: Business casual attire.
