Job Summary

Option Care Health is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Technician I to assist with ensuring smooth and accurate pharmacy operations in accordance with our policies and procedures, as well as state professional standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and validate prescription refill requests, process according to company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with preparing and dispensing medications and supplies.
  • Maintain equipment through calibration, inspection, cleaning, testing, and informing supervisor of any defects.
  • Collect and maintain patient information required for accurate planning of needed materials, supplies, equipment, and prescriptions.
  • Ensure a positive patient experience through answering patient questions and responding to patient requests.
  • Receive and verify quantities of incoming supplies and materials.
  • Stock and store new supplies and materials.
  • Review expiration dates and identify shortages.
  • Pick and pack materials and supplies.
  • Create tickets and track inventory through accurate data entry into applicable systems.
  • Schedule routine patient deliveries.
  • Clean and sanitize surfaces and laminar hood flows.
  • Clean and organize supplies.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 0 to 6 months of relevant experience.
  • Licensed or registered within 6 months of hire (if required by state).
  • Successful enrollment and completion of the company-designated training course within 6 months of hire (if licensure and/or training course is required by the state).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous healthcare or pharmacy technician experience.
