Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable CDL and Moffett truck driver to join our team at Builders General Supply Company. As a CDL and Moffett truck driver, you will be responsible for delivering lumber and building materials to our customers in a timely and safe manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Lumber and Building Materials: Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport lumber and building materials to our customers' job sites.
  • Load and Unload Materials: Load and unload lumber and materials from the truck, ensuring no damage to the material and assisting customers with the placement of material at the job site.
  • Comply with Regulations: Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
  • Conduct Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle and report any discrepancies to the dispatcher immediately.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate vehicle records and logs.
  • Install Protective Devices: Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
Requirements
  • Valid CDL License: Possess a valid NJ CDL license with proper endorsements.
  • Physical Requirements: Meet all USDOT physical regulations.
  • Clean Driving Record: Have a clean driving record.
  • Moffett Truck Experience: Have experience operating a Moffett truck.
  • Driving Experience: Have at least one year of driving experience.
  • Communication Skills: Possess the ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
  • Reading and Navigation Skills: Possess the ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures, as well as read maps and navigate to job sites in a timely manner.
Physical Demands
  • Standing and Walking: Regularly stand and walk throughout the day.
  • Lifting: Frequently lift up to 100 pounds.
