We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to join our State and Local Sales and Use Tax team at RSM US LLP. As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional sales and use tax advisory and planning services to multi-state companies, as well as developing and executing business strategies to drive growth and revenue for our tax practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert sales and use tax advisory and planning services to clients, including technical research memoranda, nexus studies, and exposure quantification.
  • Develop and execute business strategies to drive growth and revenue for our tax practice, including generating new revenue on existing client portfolios and growing new client relationships.
  • Manage complex sales and use tax consulting projects, including audit defense and appeals, reverse sales tax audits, and other state tax consulting projects.
  • Lead and manage the business relationship of complex engagements, providing high-value, quality tax advice and seeking to expand services to clients.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience providing sales and use tax consulting services in a public accounting, consulting, or law firm.
  • Thorough knowledge of state and local sales and use tax laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
