Detective Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Detective Specialist to join our team at the City of Rawlins Police Department.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in criminal investigations, with a minimum of three years of experience as a Police Officer or in a related field. They will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations into various types of crimes, gathering and analyzing evidence, and collaborating with other law enforcement agencies to build strong cases.

As a Detective Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of complex cases, including aggravated assaults, sexual assaults, fraud, and other felony offenses. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and detailed records of investigations, including case reports, evidence, and witness statements.

The City of Rawlins offers a competitive salary range of $ **$65,000 - $85,000** per year, depending on experience. In addition to your base salary, you will also receive a hiring bonus of $2,000 for new officers without prior experience and $3,000 for lateral officers. Our benefits package includes 15 vacation days and 6 holidays per year, dental and vision coverage, and all equipment provided.
