Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide hands-on support for our existing environments, including software installation, patch installation, upgrades, query writing, configuration, security, system monitoring, and tuning.
  • Manage and upgrade Amazon EKS clusters to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Implement tools and automation for build, configuration management, continuous integration, deployment, and application monitoring.
  • Automate and evolve our infrastructure, deployment strategies, and testing to support quick turnaround of deployments.
  • Maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) responsible for provisioning, configuring, and scaling infrastructure in cloud environments.
  • Work closely with Engineering to ensure all relevant KPIs are implemented within the monitoring framework.
  • Participate in all Production Support activities during incidents and outages, providing hands-on technical support to resolve technical issues.
  • Participate in capacity planning, tuning systems stability, provisioning, performance, and scaling of our application infrastructure.
Requirements:
  • 7 years of experience with tech stack in AWS, including Elastic Kubernetes, ElastiCache, KMS, and other related technologies.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, including VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, Security Groups, and Flow Logs.
  • Experience with compute services, including EC2, AutoScaling, and Load Balancers.
  • Database experience, including SQL, RDS, Dynamo, and PostgreSQL.
  • Working experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Ability to work effectively, both independently and as a member of a cross-functional team.
  • Demonstrate a desire to automate as much as possible.
  • Ability to participate in on-call rotation.
Desired Skills:
  • Containerization technologies, including Docker or Podman.
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery tools, including AWS CodePipeline and Azure DevOps.
  • Linux system administration, including ability to manage and troubleshoot Linux systems and services.
  • Networking skills, including solid understanding of routing and networking concepts.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Web Servers, including Nginx or Apache configurations and reverse proxies.
  • Collaboration platforms, including JIRA, Confluence, Wiki, and ServiceNow.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree required; relevant, equivalent work experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
