CNA Phlebotomist

PruittHealth is seeking a skilled CNA Phlebotomist to join our team. As a CNA Phlebotomist, you will provide exceptional patient care and perform phlebotomy services with precision and professionalism.

• Deliver high-quality patient care, adhering to the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) job code 0101, Department 6300 for HCC.
• Ensure accurate and timely laboratory data collection, handling laboratory data collection systems and equipment with care.
• Verify patient identities to prevent errors and ensure accurate treatment.
• Collect blood samples from patients, primarily from the older age group.
• Process, prepare, and distribute specimens with attention to detail.
• Maintain awareness of policies and procedures, enforcing infection control processes when interacting with patients.
• Communicate effectively with patients, providing reassurance and making them feel at ease.
• Document all information accurately and maintain confidentiality.
• Order and manage laboratory supplies, ensuring a well-stocked work environment.
• Keep work areas clean and organized, adhering to OSHA, CLIA, and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with the lab manager to address lab-related issues.
• Work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating adaptability and a positive attitude.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an approved phlebotomy training program.
• A minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience, preferably with geriatrics.
• Active, current, and unrestricted Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the appropriate state.
• Phlebotomy Certification.
• Driver's license.
