Your responsibilities will encompass the following: confirming precise insurance details, validating eligibility and benefits, securing authorizations, and serving as a financial resource for clinic-related inquiries. You will also assist in the collection of co-payments and outstanding balances while providing financial guidance to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify and gather all relevant insurance benefits information for patients.
- Secure necessary authorizations and referrals.
- Assist in collecting co-pays and any outstanding balances; provide financial counseling as required.
- Act as a resource for clinic staff regarding insurance matters; stay informed on current insurance developments.
- Manage incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate departments as necessary.
- Coordinate patient appointments in alignment with physician schedules and protocols.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Ability to embody the mission, vision, and patient commitment in all interactions.
- Strong analytical skills; capable of assessing information and applying logic to manage work within time constraints and address urgent needs promptly.
- Creative problem-solving abilities; adept at generating innovative ideas that align with organizational values.
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and database management.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience is essential.
- No specific licenses or certifications are required.
