Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer III to join our Water & Wastewater Group in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in water resources engineering and possess excellent technical skills in CADD software, particularly Civil 3D.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing portions of projects using relevant office software and technology
  • Completing calculations using engineering formulas and skills
  • Preparing specifications materials through research and equipment catalogs
  • Working on design details and plan sets
  • Performing research and writing summary reports
  • Assisting in cost estimates and field observation duties
  • Communicating with client staff and internal teams

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Develop and implement project designs and plans
  • Conduct site visits and inspections
  • Prepare project documentation and reports
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams

Requirements

Candidates must have:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field
  • 5-8 years of experience in water resources engineering
  • Excellent technical skills in CADD software, particularly Civil 3D
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
