The 4 Main Unit is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our MedSurg overflow department, offering a seasonal opportunity with competitive compensation of $60 per hour. This role encompasses a 13-week commitment where the Registered Nurse will be integral in delivering exceptional patient care through comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect patient care while adhering to professional nursing standards.
- Prescribe, delegate, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate patient education and the activities of ancillary nursing staff.
- Maintain a high standard of care and professionalism throughout all interactions.
Qualifications:
A. Education: Must be a graduate of a State Board accredited School of Nursing or an equivalent institution.
B. Experience: A minimum of 2 years of acute hospital experience in MedSurg or Telemetry is preferred.
C. Licenses and Certifications: Current RN license or permit to practice professional nursing in Texas. American Heart Association BLS certification is required within two weeks of employment; ACLS certification is preferred within eight weeks.
Work Schedule:
- PRN status with a requirement of 3 shifts per week.
- Available shifts include both Day and Night options.
- Shift differentials include:
- $3.50/hr for shifts from 7pm to 11pm
- $4.50/hr for shifts from 11pm to 7am
- An additional $2.50/hr for weekend shifts
- Time and a half pay for major holidays.
