- Answer patient questions and provide education on appointments, treatments, and follow-up care.
- Make telephone call-backs and provide telephone care as directed by physicians and RNs.
- Provide patient counseling and education on verbal, brochure, and handout materials.
- Maintain an organized and efficient workflow, focusing on patient needs while adhering to Nuvance Health's policies and standards.
- Ensure patients have follow-up testing and appointments with physicians.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting.
- Licensed Practical Nurse licensure.
- Basic medical knowledge and terminology.
- Computer skills and data entry.
- Skilled in obtaining accurate patient vitals.
- Vaccine administration and medication preparation.
- Minimum one year of experience.
- Proficiency in multiple languages.
- Phlebotomy and EKG skills.
This role requires manual skills, motor coordination, and finger dexterity. Some occupational risk is involved, and the physical effort is medium to heavy, with the ability to exert up to 35 pounds of force. The physical environment may expose you to dirt, odors, noise, and human waste.
