Agricultural Laborer

Job Summary: H2A is seeking a skilled Agricultural Laborer to join our team for a tobacco harvesting season. As an Agricultural Laborer, you will be responsible for seeding, transplanting, cultivating, cutting, housing, and stripping tobacco. You will also assist in planting, cultivating, and harvesting row crops and fruits/vegetables, as well as preparing straw and hay. This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to bend, stoop, and stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities:

• Seed, transplant, cultivate, cut, house, and strip tobacco
• Assist in planting, cultivating, and harvesting row crops and fruits/vegetables
• Prepare straw and hay, including soil preparation, operation of tillage, harvesting, and cutting equipment, hauling and storage of hay/straw, and preparing barns
• Drain fields and prepare land for planting and cultivation of tobacco
• Lift 25 to 70 pounds

Requirements:

• Ability to bend, stoop, and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift 25 to 70 pounds
• Physical ability to meet and perform the work outlined in the contract
