Job Description

Rosendin Electric is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for purchasing electrical equipment, construction materials, and issuing subcontracts. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and review requisitions for materials and equipment from project managers and field operations.
  • Solicit quotations from vendors and analyze findings to present to management.
  • Generate and distribute purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.
  • Track and expedite existing orders, updating scheduling in the procurement system as needed.
  • Support the estimating department by contacting vendors for budgetary quotations.
  • Solicit and prepare submittal documentation for project managers.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of electrical equipment and construction materials.
  • Knowledge of procurement techniques, procedures, policies, and accounting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
