Database Systems Specialist

Job Summary

The Database Analyst position at InsideHigherEd is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems. This role involves monitoring and resolving internal database problems, utilizing hierarchical or relational database management techniques. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of database architecture and experience working with Oracle database environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain database systems to meet the needs of the organization.
• Monitor and resolve internal database problems, ensuring optimal system performance.
• Collaborate with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to resolve software-related issues.
• Provide senior technical leadership to assist with complex technical planning and task management for Ellucian Banner products.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation to support database systems.

Requirements

• Associate degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of experience in database analysis and development.
• Strong understanding of database architecture and Oracle database environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
