We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to assist in the preparation of the surgical field and supplies/instruments delivered to the field. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide a cooperative work environment and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare the surgical field and supplies/instruments for surgical procedures
  • Assist in providing a cooperative work environment
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
  • Maintain professional growth and development
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of scrub experience or equivalent
  • CPR certification
  • Certified Surgical Technologist certification within 3 months of employment
Working Conditions
  • Exposure to body fluids, waste, and chemicals
  • On-call availability (nights, weekends, holidays)
  • Rotating shifts
  • Ability to move heavy patients and equipment
  • Ability to bend, squat, and kneel as needed
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

This position requires the ability to recognize the needs and behaviors of specific age groups of patients treated.
